What is the benefit of using our legal services when you want to come to the UK or extend or switch?

What happens in the initial consultation?

Your case worker would take some background information regarding yourself. Relevant questions would be asked to ascertain whether your case can be handled by our team. You will also be able to ask questions, understand what is required to meet the Immigration Rules, Nationality Law and EU Law where relevant. Should we be able to provide assistance, your case worker will give you a customer care letter whereby it would outline the service agreement and the cost associated.

What is a customer care letter?

A customer care letter from us will ensure that we outline the service we would be providing, it would also provide a break down of the costs associated so you can rest assure that there are no hidden charges and that fees do not go up unless changes are made (i.e. Home Office fees etc).

UK Marriage Visitor Visa | UK Marriage Visa | UK spouse visa

Where you and your Partner are engaged and would now like to marry in the UK, then you can apply under this category, however this is only to enter the UK for a short term period. You can apply under the visitor category, if you want to get register for a marriage or civil partnership in the UK.

The Marriage Visitor Visa allows Applicants to enter the UK to marry or enter into a Civil Partnership without seeking any further leave to remain. For example, this visa would be perfect for applicants with a specific desire to get married in a romantic Scottish castle! Both parties to the marriage are required to leave the UK at the end of their visa.

Marriage Visitor Visa Basic Requirements
The Immigration Rules set's out requirements that would need to be met and here are the eligibility requirements: 

  • applicants must be 18 years or over;

  • applicants must be in a genuine relationship;

  • applicants must be free to give notice of marriage or enter into a civil partnership in the UK within 6 months or arrival;

  • applicants must intend to visit the UK for less than 6 months and intend to leave at the end of their visit;

  • applicants must be able to support themselves without working or recourse to public funds;

  • applicants must be able to meet the cost of return or onward journey.

Marriage Visitor Visa Entitlements
This visa entitles holders to visit the UK for up to a maximum of six (6) months allowing them to marry or enter into a civil partnership in the UK during the six (6) month period.

When to appy for the Marriage Visitor Visa
You must plan your visa application and can apply 3 months prior to the date of travels to the UK. Do not delay submitting your application, so you can make the visa is granted in time. 

Processing time of the visa
Depending on your location, there are added values services available to speed up the visa processing time however they can take on average 3 weeks. If you have applied through a Visa Centre, where the decision is not made in your country of residency, please allow extra time for the processing.
